The new Panasonic WJ-RT416 is now in stock at CCTV Center.
With 400 images per second at High Resolution, Panasonic claims that the WJ-RT416 sets new standards in high performance with superb picture quality at an affordable price.
We have bench tested the new recorder at CCTV Center and are impressed by the performance and simplicity of the unit. Installation and set-up are straightforward and it does exactly "what it says on the tin." We have installed Seagate 500GB hard drives to increase the storage capacity without any problems and have controlled Panasonic domes directly down the coax on channels 1-4. Net client monitoring software is included on the CD, allowing both live viewing and playback from multiple units and also site mapping. Live images and site maps can be viewed simultaneously at a PC with dual monitor outputs.

Panasonic’s New Digital Disk Recorder, the WJ-RT416, Combines Real-time Recording with 400ips
Panasonic release the new WJ-RT416 real-time recording unit with a total recording time of 400 ips, enhancing the encoding function of the image data from the cameras. This superb unit enables real-time recording of all 16 cameras at 25 ips with 704 x 240 pixels providing affordable 16 channel image input and 16 channel audio inputs.
One MPEG-4 encoder for each two image input channels are provided in the WJ-RT416, with a total of 8 built-in encoders, recording all images from 16 cameras at 25 ips. No critical moments are missed and confirmation of events at a later date can be made precisely.
The WJ-RT416 encompasses high quality and high compression for economical longer recording. MPEG-4 is a compression method suitable for the smooth recording of moving objects. The high compression efficiency capacity of the HDD allows for more effective utilization and longer recording compared with other methods. Data can be transferred over the network using a smaller bandwidth, allowing for smoother image monitoring and better quality results.
For simple operation, the WJ-RT416 encompasses easy to use panels and on screen GUI enlargement of frequently used buttons with principal operations being executed via the cross pad and adjacent buttons.
